Student Part Time Positions
- Description
Important Information:
Eligibility/Qualifications: Student Part-time positions require U of U student status (6 or more credit hours),
and a daily 3-4 hour schedule commitment Monday through Friday with Saturday availability,
amounting to 19-20 hrs/week.

employee recognition programs. Most Student Part-time positions start at $7.00 hr
(unless otherwise indicated) and are eligible for a $.25/hr raise after each full

Student Bookstore Worker I
Computer Service & Repair
Monday-Friday 8am-12pm

Computer Technician position to provide technical assistance to the Computing Solutions Department Staff and general University Community as directed. Must have thorough working knowledge of Apple computers, PC or equivalent component products. Troubleshoots and determines disposition of defective products. Prepares and controls products returned to vendor for repair, replacement, refund, or credit. A strong commitment to provide excellent customer service is required.

Student Bookstore Worker I
Computing Solutions
M-F, Alternating Saturdays |
Counter sales position responsible for customer service and sales, ringing up purchases on the cash register, answering telephones, and providing back-up for the Floor Sales personnel. Background in computers required. Previous cashiering and/or customer service experience preferred.

takes place July-Aug. and Nov-Dec. for Fall and Spring semester openings. Our temporary
needs are limited during other periods of time.

Temporary Bookstore Worker

Temporary positions available from August through mid-September throughout the Campus Store, with the potential to become regular part-time. Duties vary by department, but can include cashiering, customer service, packing orders, light stocking and computer work. Effective oral and written communication skills a must. Previous customer service or cashiering experience preferred.

Event Sales Team Positions

These seasonal positions promote and conduct sales of insignia
wear and novelty items at U of U sporting events such as Football,
Basketball and Gymnastic Meets. Must be primarily available in the evenings and weekends for six or more hours per event (approximately 30-35 events). Prefer mature, dependable, and friendly applicants with good English communication skills. Cashiering and/or sales experience is preferred but not required.
